[FKA Mandela Mile]

Shanthi was motivated to start Mandela Mandela in response to The Elder’s 10th Anniversary Walk Together Campaign. The Walk Together Campaign was a year-long initiative to continue the legacy of Nelson Mandela’s long walk to freedom. The purpose of the campaign is to not only build global empathy but to also support civil society on primordial issues such as peace, health, justice, and equality.

Founder & CEO

Kinship of Kush is a not-for-profit initiative founded by Shanthi Annan in 2015. Its primary goal is to empower young people of the Global African Diaspora to become change-makers in their communities while strengthening the idea of a unified "Global Family."

This initiative focuses on bringing together and amplifying the voices and efforts of young Africans worldwide, encouraging them to engage in community regeneration and leadership development.

Kinship of Kush has hosted events like the Startup Weekend, aiming to connect aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators from Africa with their counterparts globally. It operates under the guiding principle that young people hold the key to shaping the future and improving their communities and lives.

In essence, Kinship of Kush is a platform for fostering global collaboration and empowering the next generation of African leaders and entrepreneurs to drive positive change across the continent and beyond.
